Lately, I've been trying to make my portfolio more diverse. For a while there, pretty much every picture was set in a pretty grassy area with good backlighting. Which, I'm not going to lie, it makes for a decently good photo, but after a while, the color green seems to get old. Haha. So for the past couple of shoots where the clients didn't have a preference on where they go, I've attempted to add lots of texture and color in the photos by finding areas with rusty walls, or simply just walls with lots of painted color on them. I'm not use to shooting with a wall behind the person, but the results didn't turn out too bad!

Cami | Houston Texas Children Photographer
This is my second cousin, Cami. She's an awesome little kid, no lie. I love photographing kids because they're so full of authentic soul and energy. That sounds really spiritual or something, but it's the only way I can describe it. A lot of times when adults and teens get in front of the camera, they become a different person almost. They start sitting up straight, smiling fake, etc. Children, they don't care at this point how they look and what faces they are making. It's 100% them.
This photograph along with some others that were at this location mean a lot to me and Bridget, her mom. This was in the backyard of my great grandmother's (her great great grandmother's) house. She just recently passed away, and Cami doesn't know it yet, but these photos are going to be very special to her one day.
